Privacy Policy

1. Information stored by the extension

The Focuspring Chrome extension stores preferences and aggregate focus information in Chrome storage. This may include blocked-site rules, focus profiles, schedules, timer settings, daily focused minutes, session counts, blocked-attempt counts, music-service preferences, tab-limit settings, and plan-preview status.

The extension needs to inspect the hostname and URL of a page being opened so it can determine whether the page matches a blocking rule. The beta does not create or transmit a browsing-history log to Focuspring.

2. Chrome synchronization

If a Pro tester enables preference synchronization, selected settings such as profiles, schedules, Pomodoro preferences, and tab limits are stored through Chrome’s synchronization service. This processing is provided by Google and is subject to your Google and Chrome settings. Focus statistics and browsing history are not included in Focuspring’s current synchronization feature.

3. Website information

The current Focuspring website does not use advertising trackers or behavioral analytics. If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, name, and information you choose to include in your message. We use that information to reply, provide beta access, and support the product.

4. Information we do not sell

Focuspring does not sell personal information. The beta does not sell, rent, or share browsing activity for advertising or data-broker purposes.

5. Permissions

The extension requests Chrome permissions required for its features, including storage, tabs, alarms, notifications, web navigation, and access to web pages. These permissions support site blocking, tab counting, timers, notifications, and Video Shield. Permission use is limited to delivering those user-requested features.

6. Retention and deletion

Extension information remains in Chrome storage until you clear extension data or uninstall Focuspring. Synchronized preferences may remain in Chrome Sync according to Google’s retention behavior. You can request deletion of information you sent directly to Focuspring by contacting us.

7. Children

Focuspring is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the current beta. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Focuspring adds accounts, payments, analytics, or companion applications. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice.

10. Contact

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@focuspring.com.
